About the department

The position is based in Production Infrastructure which is a department in Global IT Operations (GITO). GITO is an area with 400+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations, global service desk and digital workplace services.
Production Infrastructure is a team of 130 highly skilled and dedicated employees working to continue the agile journey to ensure an efficient delivery engine across GITO. As a department, we have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, just as we are embracing new ideas on how to successfully deliver and introduce new ways of working. GITO is a global organisation, therefore many of our meeting are conducted virtually and across many time zones. We offer flexible working location and hours so you can expect to be working both from home and in the office.
The job

As our new Product Owner you will be working in close collaboration with other Product Owners, Enterprise & System Architects, various Business Owners and Stakeholders, Release Train Engineer and other Team Members in GITO to strengthen our continuous development

Your main responsibilities would be to:

- Responsible for and work with network infrastructure and network security services and products like Cisco, Palo Alto, AlgoSec, etc.
- With support from management, heading up initiatives supporting Novo Nordisk’s digital transformation in the manufacturing space.
- Manage two agile delivery teams of highly skilled colleagues, using the KanBan methodology to manage work, consist of LoB projects, improvements, and operations 24x7x365.
- Manage teams located across multiple locations and time zones, in and outside Denmark.
- Ensure Novo Nordisk has the simplest and most reliable infrastructure running 24x7x365 with no downtime, supporting operational excellence for IT and line of business utilizing our infrastructure.
- Budget responsible for the products you manage, including improvements, upgrades, life cycle management, etc.
- Regular updates and adjusting the product roadmaps and the target architecture for the infrastructure for your teams.
- As part of the teams, participate in vendor meetings, training, and workshops supporting the teams.
- Work together with POs from other areas of the area on unified design, cost and operation models
- Broad technical knowledge and structured mindset as you will head up our infrastructure-related critical incidents, ensuring fast recovery time and implementing mitigation and preventing actions
Furthermore your task among others would be to:

- In cooperation with stakeholders and Product Management prepare the program backlog for Program Increment (PI) planning in a KanBan context to ensure execution of the roadmap
- Prepare and participate in PI planning
- Ensure the Agile teams is delivering according to its commitment and work with the Agile team daily overcoming challenges and clarifying questions to ensure flow in the KanBan processes.
- Be a key member of the Agile team and work proactively with the Scrum Master to ensure that the team events fulfil their purpose
Qualifications
  • You hold a relevant educational background e.g. Bachelor, Masters or equivalent in science, engineering or IT
  • Experience working in related domain within network and firewall technologies.
  • Advanced understanding of enabler work to ensure priorities
  • Advanced knowledge on product breakdown methodologies e.g. design thinking and story mapping
  • Capable of handling distributed Agile teams spread geographically – both in DK and outside DK, in various time zones
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills and able to translate strategy into ambitious goals with clear priorities. Being open minded and positive you able to set direction and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation and you a good at delegation and empowering others to take action.

In addition, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility and drive success.
