The Position You will be deeply involved in the tax aspects within our M&A activities with a dedicated focus on ensuring correct tax accounting of M&A transactions, i.e. ensuring that tax impacts of acquisitions and internal restructurings are correctly reflected in our financial accounts. This will be done in close collaboration with the rest of the M&A tax team and well as other finance functions. In addition, you will be responsible for the subsequent integration efforts in relation to managing tax filings, restructurings, and establishing adequate financial processes for tax-related items in collaboration with the remaining finance organisation. From time to time, you will also be involved of other projects where your expertise can be utilised. You will actively be contributing to process improvements within your scope of work, together with the rest of the team, as our business complexity grows. The job will be based out of HQ in Bagsværd, Denmark but offers frequent interaction with both the global tax organisation as well as the broader global finance organisation. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have: Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar relevant education
4-6 years of working experience within accounting or tax from an audit firm or an international company where you have acquired solid accounting skills
Ability to navigate the differences between tax and accounting and translate how this impacts the financial statements
Well-founded within the concepts of deferred tax
Preferably you have experience with International Financial Reporting Standards, but most importantly you have an interest in learning and can convert the learnings into your daily work with a constant chase for improving
On a personal level, you have solid analytical, process, and interpersonal skills combined with a high level of drive and flexibility. You understand and can structure complex matters, deliver within deadlines while being able to find the best solution. Good communication skills are required in your broad contact with stakeholders of different professional and cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, you must master English at a high level. About the department In Novo Nordisk’s Corporate Tax department, we are 17 dedicated employees working in teams within transfer pricing, corporate taxation, and indirect taxes. You will be part of the Tax Reporting & Controversy Team which handles the M&A and tax compliance matters and report to the director of the team. Further to this, you will be part of the Global Tax organisation consisting of around 70 employees worldwide.
