The role and its responsibilities
As our new Head of Architecture, Data and Compliance, you are responsible for:
  • Develop and implement IT architecture frameworks, methodologies, and tools to enable effective decision-making and solution delivery
  • Lead the development and implementation of data management strategies, including data governance, data modeling, data architecture, and data quality to meet the needs of the needs of the organization's strategic objectives
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards, including data privacy, security, and governance
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to IT architecture, data management, and compliance
  • Collaborate with business and stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions
  • Lead and manage a team of 12 Solution Architects to design and deliver high-quality IT solutions that align with business goals and strategies
  • As our Head of Architecture, Data and Compliance, you will lead a team of 12 employees. You set direction, clearly communicate current and future priorities, and ensure that your team has the best prerequisites for solving highly complex matters while thriving and having fun. Meanwhile, you are responsible for managing external consultants (contracts, onboarding, training etc).
    You will become part of the area’s leadership team consisting of 6 People Leaders (3 DK based, 1 US based, and 2 India based), 1 Release Train Engineer (RTE), 1 Leadership Coordinator as well as the Vice President and Head of HR Digital Data & IT (DD&IT). The position is based in Bagsværd and reports directly to the Vice President and Head of HR DD&IT.
    Do you have what it takes? We are looking for a technical leader with a deep understanding of how IT can enable business goals and enhance business processes and solution architecture – one who can ensure that IT solutions meet business needs and align with architectural standards.
    At the same time, we would like you to act as a people leader, who can support our Solution Architects in building their long-term career plans, coaching and mentoring them on how to build and apply competencies – aligned with business priorities – while ensuring high-quality forecasting of organisational development opportunities. Besides, following hard competencies are preferred:
  • Academic background in a relevant field such as Business, IT, Administration, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Several years of leadership experience from a similar role incl. excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of technology architecture frameworks, data management systems, governance, and compliance regulations
  • Experience with HR platforms such as ServiceNow (or SalesForce), SuccessFactors (or WorkDay), or similar HR platforms is an advantage
  • You can support transformational activities and changes through personal advocacy, engagement, and leadership
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders

    In HR DD&IT, we develop and implement world class HR IT systems together with P&O to ensure that we ignite the digital change for Novo Nordisk’s employees, achieving efficiency, compliance, and excellent employee experience. HR DD&IT is anchored within DD&IT and team members are placed closely to P&O team members for optimal collaboration. We work according to the SAFE Agile methodology and ways of working to efficiently support P&O’s digitalisation journey.
    HR DD&IT is a global team that includes approximately 80 colleagues based in Denmark, India, and the USA. The atmosphere is informal and friendly, and the organisation consists of ambitious, curious, and skilled employees who complement and challenge each other to deliver their best.
