Title: Experienced Chemist to support Injectable Diabetes Products Are you passionate about using your chemistry skills in understanding the effects of our excipients and specifications on our drug products? If yes, you may be our new chemist for excipients and specifications in Manufacturing Development in Injectable Finished Products (IFP). The position You will be responsible for excipients and maintaining specifications for Novo Nordisk’s injectable diabetes and obesity products. Together with your stakeholders you must secure appropriate documentation to demonstrate the influence of handling excipients and you must evaluate how changes in excipients affect our products. Changes cover e.g. new suppliers, manufacturing sites, processes and requirements from health authorities. When a new excipient is introduced in a development product you must ensure new documentation. As part of the specification group, you will be responsible for maintaining the drug product specifications for injectable diabetes and obesity products. You will be responsible for coordinating specification tasks between several stakeholders, eg recalculation of specification limits and questions from authorities. You will be preparing justification of specification reports and support preparation of specifications on development products. Furthermore, you will be a part of our transportation group which provide inputs to deviations for temperature excursions during production and/or transportation based on data from calculations of specifications. You will also be responsible for coordinating and updating procedures related to storage and transportation. Qualifications You have a master’s degree in chemistry, Pharmacy, Engineering or similar. Experience with one or more of the topics statistics, risk assessments, specification calculation, excipients, stability, and formulation of pharmaceutical products are an advantage. You take pride in communicating your views in a compelling and comprehensible way. As we are working in a GMP environment, it is important that you have a high quality mind-set. The job demands the ability to coordinate and keep overview of different tasks, and you need to be strong in data evaluation as well. It is important that you thrive on changing priorities, demonstrate initiative, and can work independently. You have an analytical mind and are open towards new ideas. It is important that you can communicate and interact with your stakeholders both verbally and in writing in both Danish and English. About the department You will be part of team General Support in the department Product and Data Support in SSI. The department includes of 4 teams: Stability team, Biophysics, General Support, and Statistics & Data Science and Team General Support consist of 7 lab technicians, 3 chemists, 2 specialists. Our main mission is to support all the marketed IFP products with focus on optimizing the processes and capacity, however, we also do some support to late-phase development products.
