The position Your main responsibilities will focus on drafting and negotiating, structuring, and counselling on various types of complex global M&A and other agreements such as public and private acquisitions, key research and development collaborations, global license agreements, strategic equity investments and transactional intellectual property matters. Above that you will: Develop solutions to new and challenging issues in a changing environment; and contribute to the ongoing development of the legal team and cultivate a highly collaborative culture. Partner with a diverse range of stakeholders within the business and across Global Legal, including working closely with Research & Development, the global Business Development teams, headquarters staff as well as other global legal colleagues on various strategic projects. Report to the Vice President – Legal Business Development, Digital Health & Trademarks, and be a key member of the highly collaborative and high-performing Legal Business Development team providing legal support to global Business Development activities such as M&A transactions and integration, global intellectual property licensing transactions and other global strategic collaborations. The position is located is in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark, as part of Global Legal & Patents. Novo Nordisk’s Global Legal organization has more than 250 global legal colleagues situated at +40 locations around the world. Qualifications Besides having the law degree from a recognized university and being admitted to practice law, the preferred candidate has: Minimum 7 years of experience from a major law firm or relevant in-house legal department. Proven track record of drafting and negotiating M&A or life science industry agreements, as well as the experience with intellectual property issues or life science industry preferred. Strong work ethic and personal drive, “can-do” approach and results-oriented attitude, which enables you to establish strong professional relations internally and externally. Ability to manage numerous and changing priorities effectively, meet deadlines and work independently as well as in a team environment, as well as solid attention to detail and creative and practical problem-solving skills. As a person, you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and can work well with a variety of internal stakeholders in cross-functional teams and you interact effectively and professionally with all levels within the organisation. You are known from your international mind-set and enjoy being part of a global work environment. Danish language skills are not required. About The Department Global Legal is responsible for managing legal risks and opportunities in Novo Nordisk and for driving the Global Legal strategy.
