If so, then seize the opportunity and become our new Legal Director, based in Ørestad, (Denmark). As a Legal Director, you will report to Vice President, Legal, Ethics, Compliance & Quality (LECQ), NWE. You will be member of the NWE LECQ Leadership Team and IO Legal Leadership Team, as well as various functional and cross-functional regional fora. The position As Legal Director, you will have main accountability for legal matters and ensure effective alignment, implementation, and risk management of the global and regional legal strategy/activities. Your key focus will be to drive initiatives in the following areas: Supply/demand Contracting Competition law Patents and other IP rights Litigations Onboarding/training Your responsibilities will include: Setting direction on legal and compliance matters in line with the global strategies and be a trusted and solution oriented sparring partner to the affiliates and other internal and external stakeholders.
Providing legal advice in relation to product allocation, quotas and supply/demand issues. Drafting and negotiating key commercial contracts and optimize the overall contract management in the region (e.g., templates, systems, processes). Providing the overall legal framework and advice on anti-trust issues relevant for the region. Identifying legal trends and other developments in the legal environment and share them with the respective functions in the region Qualifications You have a master’s in law and have passed the bar exam. You have comprehensive and proven legal expertise (10+ years) managing complex legal and compliance issues in the pharma industry. You demonstrate solid business judgment and effectively interact with senior management and external partners. You are armed with comprehensive knowledge of Novo Nordisk organization, products, competitors, and the pharmaceutical industry in general. You have a proven ability to effectively lead through the matrix. You are proactive, solution focused, possess strong business partnering and communication skills (fluent in English), a genuine interest and curiosity to understand the business and where Legal can optimally support the company’s agenda. Willingness to travel to meet the needs of the business is part of the job. About the Department Region North West Europe (NWE) is the largest region of International Operations in terms of turnover. We have around 2000 colleagues of which 100+ work for the Regional Office based in Ørestad, Copenhagen.
