We are looking for two Material Flow Simulation Engineers to drive standardization and introduce automated solutions and processes across our global IntraLogistics operations.About the departmentWe are thrilled to introduce IntraLogistics – Manufacturing Development (ManDev), a newly established and growing department within Device Manufacturing Development. We own standards for digitalization and automation of future generations, ensuring that Novo Nordisk are at the forefront of IntraLogistics technology. The team that awaits you consists of highly skilled individuals, focusing on project and process management and Technology & Automation. We are a strong and diverse team, comprising of experts and project managers from various educational backgrounds, both fresh graduates and experienced professionals alike. You will be a fully-fledged member of our team from day one, and we will provide you with comprehensive training and onboarding.The PositionWe seek two highly motivated and experienced Material Flow Simulation Engineers to join our team. Depending on your experience, some of your main responsibilities could include:
Own and drive standardization within flow simulation design principles, data management, tools, and other related aspects to support 1) new expansion- and 2) continue improvement projects. Engaging with subject matter experts and international stakeholders, as well as harvest the inherent experiences of the company and combine the input with state-of-the-art material flow technologies. Provide guidance, review, and challenge sessions for projects. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation across projects. Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices Define the standards within design principles, data management, tools, and other related areas. Provide guidance, review, and challenge sessions for projects. Facilitate the alignment of flow simulation tasks and development of new standards across the intralogistics system, in all our pharmaceutical facilities. Ensure that the approach is well-documented and ready to be implemented with great business impact. QualificationsAs we are looking for junior and senior profile, qualification expectations will differ:
For both roles, we expect:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant engineering discipline. Understanding of system architecture. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Fluency in English (written and spoken) For the senior-role, we additionally expect:Strong knowledge of design principles, data management, and tools Good theoretical and practical knowledge and experience regarding simulation methodology 5+ years of experience in material flow simulation or related field Hands on experience from at least 2 different DES software’s Experience with project management and process improvement Experience in defining and owning global standards. To be successful as Material Flow Simulation Engineer you are comfortable with taking initiative and have a strong personal drive and dedication. Bring a good sense of humour to work, even when the pressure is on, and you thrive in a changing and dynamic environment. Furthermore, you must be able to demonstrate attention to detail, be structured in your approach to problem-solving, and embrace professional and personal diversity.
