As our new Director you will become responsible for an agile organization that leads complex and impactful projects in IFP (Injectable Finished Products) area. Your role will be to drive a culture of project excellence and lead your organisation into ensuring our portfolio of projects is successfully delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. You can look forward to:
• Leading and developing the leaders and specialists in the department, consisting of 3 direct references and a total area of 30 dedicated employees, characterized by a diverse skillset and high engagement.
• Overviewing a portfolio of projects and ensuring availability of the right competencies and resources both within own area and together with all relevant stakeholders
• Fostering learning and experimentation in a culture where failing is safe, and ambitions are high, where people use and expand all their competencies and develop each other.
• Overseeing the development and execution of the portfolio of projects, where you will act as an escalation point for project issues and provide guidance on project resolution. This exciting position provides an opportunity to visit our production sites across the world, with approximately 15-20 travelling days per year. By doing so, you will gain a deep understanding of the impact and consequences of the portfolio, which will allow you to make more informed decisions and drive better results. You will be able to develop and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders, e.g., external CMO’s, Global Contract Manufacturing, Colleagues across IFP Manufacturing. At the same time, you will be an active member of relevant Steering Groups/Committees to foster close internal collaboration. Together with your 4 direct peers in the management team, you will set the direction for the overall area. Qualifications
To succeed in this role, we imagine that you:
• Have an academic background in life sciences (chemistry, pharmacy, biology, etc.).
• Have several years of managerial experience and you have successfully led teams or departments with a strong focus on culture and inclusion.
• Have experience in coaching and leading project managers with the objective of keeping the company's priorities in mind and driving priority-based decisions. You can drive a team’s energy and engagement in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• You have a good understanding of processes related to new product introduction to manufacturing or transferring products from site to site.
• Are fluent in English. As a person, you are known for being an inclusive and empowering leader and an empathic team player with a can-do attitude. You have very good leadership and communication skills with experience in developing and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders. You can shape and execute on a strategy in a complex international environment and possess highly developed networking skills. You show resilience when things do not go your way. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to build relations on all levels in an international organization. About the department
Projects & Improvement is anchored within Site Support & Improvement which is a part of the Manufacturing Development area for our aseptic production facilities worldwide. The department is responsible for Site Support and improvement activities across our global aseptic production network. The area consists of app. 150 talented employees divided into 5 departments.
