The position As a Competition Law Counsel, your key responsibilities will include: Develop and drive the global Competition Law compliance program. This includes developing global compliance strategies, plans, policies and trainings Drive the Competition Law Network aiming to share best practices, learnings and foster engaged communication Handle external & internal investigations involving Competition Law Advise on global commercial strategies and activities impacted by Competition Law Proactively provide legal advice on relevant projects, commercial strategies and business development activities Provide assistance on merger control on relevant acquisitions and transactions This position gives you the opportunity to take responsibility for key global processes and programmes in Legal Compliance, Global Legal & Patents and interact with senior stakeholders in business and legal. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you have a legal degree and qualification, with 8+ years of ideally competition law experience from either private practice, competition law authority or another international pharma company as an advantage. Other success criteria are: Understanding of international legal systems (EU and US), as well as differences between legal systems worldwide Comprehensive subject matter expertise as well as understanding of different legal areas including company law, contracts, public & private international law Experience with government investigations and/or litigation Comprehensive overview of NN business, operations and organisation, competitors and the pharma industry in general English language skills at negotiation level Experience advising senior stakeholders On a personal level, you are an analytical thinker who can work well under pressure, and is motivated and skilled to drive processes, communicate effectively and manage senior stakeholders. Furthermore, we expect you to be open minded, friendly and positive, and be able to work with people from different backgrounds, including both educational and cultural, while having great networking, collaboration, and relationship-building skills in a global environment. About the department Legal Compliance is responsible for managing competition law and sanctions & export controls matters in Novo Nordisk and is part of the Global Legal & Patents organization.
