The position Since 2012, Novo Nordisk has partnered with Team Novo Nordisk to inspire, educate and empower people around the world affected by diabetes. Team Novo Nordisk is both the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team and a group of athlete ambassadors changing the way the world sees diabetes. As the Communications Lead for Team Novo Nordisk, you will be responsible for developing content and executing campaigns across Novo Nordisk communication channels to drive external engagement and advocacy to improve quality of care for people living with diabetes. You will need to collaborate closely with Public Affairs colleagues responsible for policy, partnerships and patient relations at a global level and in our key markets, as well as with colleagues working in Communications across different geographies around the world. As a Communications Lead , you will have the following key responsibilities: Developing content and ensure execution of campaigns across all Novo Nordisk corporate communications and social media channels to drive external engagement and advocacy on improving diabetes care Using audience insights to identify relevant channels, build social media campaigns, create content and implement paid media strategies (where appropriate) Collaborate closely with Global Communications and Diabetes Communications colleagues to ensure consistent communications leveraging Team Novo Nordisk across all relevant platforms Build presence and engagement with non-cycling media & press to drive focus on our priorities, working with affiliates where needed Manage proactive and reactive media enquiries related to Novo Nordisk’s sponsorship of Team Novo Nordisk, and collaborate with Team Novo Nordisk market and communications teams on press and media Some travelling to key markets must be expected. Qualifications To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates with the following qualifications: Demonstrable experience in planning and executing external communication campaigns, with experience working with both social media and press and a good understanding of how to communicate effectively to achieve business objectives Demonstrable experience of campaigns and content creation for different platforms (including but not limited to website, Linkedn, X, Facebook and Instagram) Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and other relevant content tools (welcomed but not mandatory) Understanding of SEO and digital marketing and strong project management skills Experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry or with sports is an advantage but not a requirement Strong command of written and spoken English As an individual, you are energetic, proactive and a strong team player. You like to challenge the status quo as you pursue opportunities and create tangible solutions to complex problems. You have exceptional attention to detail, strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills and experience of working in a matrix organisation. You possess excellent communication and presentation skills. About the department Global Public Affairs and Sustainability aspires to be a proactive and solutions-orientated partner to society in the joint ambition of solving society’s fundamental challenges. This role is anchored in the newly established Sustainability Communications team within Global Public Affairs and Sustainability, working closely with the Diabetes Policy Team, driving the development and execution of the public affairs strategy for Novo Nordisk in Type 1 and 2 diabetes.
