The position Communication is critical to successful Post-Merger Integrations. As the Integration Communication Partner, you will therefore play a business-critical role in Novo Nordisk’s increasing focus on external innovation by ensuring a clear and concise flow of information in the post-merger integration phase with leaders and new employees at the acquired company, but also with relevant stakeholders within Novo Nordisk. In this role, you will join the Integration and Strategic Alliances Team within Corporate Development and will be an active part in driving the day-to-day activities of post-merger integrations. As core team member of the Integration Management Office, you will develop, plan, and execute all communications activities related to a post-merger integration. This will include coordinating and collaborating closely with other communication functions across the organisation to ensure consistent internal and external communications and developing a communication plan specific to the activities related to the integration. You will work cross functionally with key leaders from all parts of the Novo Nordisk value chain, as well as leaders, stakeholders, and employees within the acquired organization. The main responsibilities of the Integration Communication Partner are:
  • Build the standard framework, tools and templates to be utilised in future post-merger integrations to professionalize the way we work with communications to support successful integration.
  • Lead the development of strategic communication plans for live post-merger integrations.
  • Define the planning and drive the execution with relevant stakeholders of all PMI related communication activities including both internal and external communication needs.
  • Plan and manage town halls, information sharing sessions, and other live events related to integration activities
  • Ensure consistent language and tone are understood and used by all other Novo Nordisk communications partners.
  • Create a set of templates and define vehicles that provide regular updates to Novo Nordisk and acquired company employees.
  • Aid the integration change management lead and cultural integration efforts by developing communication decks, creating knowledge sharing forums, etc.
  • Aid in the creation of regular updates internal stakeholder groups on on-going integration progress and activities
  • Liaise with external partners and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure timely and complete deliverables of key projects.
  • The position is primarily located at Bagsværd, Denmark. Qualifications We are looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague who can contribute to the team both professionally and personally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in working on complex strategic projects, as well as most of the following skills and experiences:
  • Bachelors or master’s degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in communications role
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing corporate communication plans, ideally in connection with mergers and acquisitions or significant change processes.
  • Expertise in drafting content for both internal and external use
  • Ability to motivate others, and effectively manage multiple projects in a rapidly evolving environment. Team management or informal leadership experience would be considered a plus.
  • Firm understanding of how to effectively navigate a multi-national, matrix, organization
  • Ability to work with leaders, peers, and colleagues at all levels of an organization.
  • Impeccable organizational and communication skills.
  • An eye for spotting areas of improvement and a drive to get things done
  • Physical Requirements
  • Up to 10% overnight travel may be required to attend on-site meetings at the acquired company location and/or to engage with other Novo Nordisk units in various geographies.
