Implementing the Global market access strategy in international markets

You will become part of Global Patient Access team in the Bio Dermatology Business Unit, that is launching LEO Pharma’s first biologic in psoriasis. You will be responsible for the implementation of the market access strategy in international markets to ensure patient access and long-term profit optimization. You will work closely with global commercial colleagues in headquarter and affiliates to ensure commercial success in an increasing complex payer landscape.

The biologic is sold in both retail and hospital channel. You will take lead in ensuring implementation of the market access strategy on a national, regional and local level.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Drive the execution of Global Biodermatology market access and pricing strategy in 2nd wave European markets as well as International markets
  • Conduct payer research and payer adboards to inform commercial strategy
  • Develop reimbursement support materials for payer, tender and government institutions (Global value story, reimbursement negotiation guide, payer objection handler etc)
  • Develop payer communication materials
  • Support and sign off the local HTA dossiers together with global health economics
  • Where appropriate lead KAM and negotiation training workshops to prepare local access colleagues for launch activities
  • Collaborate directly with local access/commercial/medical colleagues to support activities to attain reimbursement at a price consistent with the global policy
  • Support business case development and performance review
  • Support and collaborate with senior pricing and contracting manager to implement pricing strategies and find pricing solutions


  • You will report to the Global Head of Patient Access. You can be based at the LEO Pharma headquarters in Ballerup, Greater Copenhagen, or in another European office. If located outside of Copenhagen, you are expected to be in the headquarters 3 days every 2 weeks. In addition to this you can expect extensive travel in order to meet with colleagues and affiliates.

    Market Access leader with a passion for collaboration

    You have min. 7 years of experience from a market access role in pharma industry. Your business acumen and your way of working is founded on a sound analytical and commercial focus, and you are always aiming to facilitate a strong link between local markets and global functions. As your responsibilities are broad and your stakeholders many, you can keep the grand overview and address multiple issues, deadlines and interests at the same time, via stakeholder collaborations and influence.

    Other requirements:

  • MSc/PhD in Economics or Pharmacy
  • Understanding of healthcare systems & funding European and International markets
  • Solid background with market access and potentially health economics
  • Experience of launching a high price hospital product and of key account management
  • Fluency in English (business/ negotiation level)


  • You have an interest in other cultures and are seasoned in building and maintaining productive partnerships across borders and functions. You transmit your personal enthusiasm to people around you to ensure deliveries according to plans and deadlines. To succeed it is vital that you take on responsibility and work closely with local affiliates with confidence and become a trusted partner.
