You will join the growing Global Clinical Affairs department divided into: Clinical Research, Post Market Clinical Development, Clinical Operations and Biosafety. Most of us are based at Ambu Headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, but we also have colleagues based at our site in Malaysia, in Germany, and in the Clinical Operation department under establishment in the US. As our second Usability Specialist you will spar with your colleagues to develop and ensure an aligned approach including the journey to develop new processes for conducting usability studies.
Specialist in usability
As usability specialist you work on several projects, developing the usability strategy for each, as well as planning and executing the usability studies themselves. You will validate the core user needs, ensure gaps from the use-error-risk-analysis (URA) are closed, as well as supporting IFU development to make sure this is closely linked to the URA. You will also provide input to the training material for marketing.
Usability has a broad interface at Ambu, linking you to a lot of different processes:
Personal competencies
To succeed in this position, you need to act as a champion for change and take the ownership for following through on changes. You also need to communicate effectively, share information and create and maintain a network as this will help you to succeed in the job. As a person, you are detailed and thorough when setting up usability testing objectives and processes.
You have experience with planning and execution of formative and summative utility tests in accordance with relevant medical device regulations and standards. You are familiar with utilizing ISO standards and FDA guidelines related to usability testing and you are highly skilled in writing and reviewing scientific/technical documentation in general.
Finally, you need to have excellent command of the English language, as this will be your main working language.

- Formative and summative usability study conduct and reporting
- Providing input to the training material for marketing
- Usability support for Post market clinical studies
