As a part of this journey, the quality in our financial reporting and control environment is increasingly important, and to support this, a lot of changes are required. Therefore, we need a new colleague with a strong understanding of internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) and the ambition to drive a change.
As a Senior Internal Control Advisor, you have a key role in our journey to improve and standardize controls. You will act as a subject matter expert and manage various projects, including support to our ongoing implementation of SAP S/4 HANA.
You thrive driving a change by finding simple solutions to complex problems together with relevant stakeholders and feel comfortable collecting input and putting forward recommended decisions.
Your primary tasks will be to
You have a degree in auditing (cand. merc. aud. or equivalent) or HD(R) and you have worked as an external auditor. You have a keen interest in business processes and a strong understanding of ICFR combined with hands-on experience within this area, maybe as a consultant. Experience in SAP is a further advantage.
Furthermore you:
You will be part of a small team, located on our headquarter in Ballerup, where you will be reporting to the Head of Financial Risk & Compliance.

Become a strong sparring partner to our global organization
As a Senior Internal Control Advisor, you have a key role in our journey to improve and standardize controls. You will act as a subject matter expert and manage various projects, including support to our ongoing implementation of SAP S/4 HANA.
You thrive driving a change by finding simple solutions to complex problems together with relevant stakeholders and feel comfortable collecting input and putting forward recommended decisions.
Your primary tasks will be to
- challenge and significantly improve the existing internal control framework
- sell the internal controls agenda to the relevant audience across LEO Pharma
- drive the cultural change and the right behaviour around internal controls
- design and implement global controls to support the ICFR
- develop management reporting to support management oversight and facilitate mitigation of deficiencies identified
- ad hoc involvement in projects
Qualifications and educational background
You have a degree in auditing (cand. merc. aud. or equivalent) or HD(R) and you have worked as an external auditor. You have a keen interest in business processes and a strong understanding of ICFR combined with hands-on experience within this area, maybe as a consultant. Experience in SAP is a further advantage.

- have the ability to put structure into your work where you diligently follow up on the tasks within your areas of responsibility
- have the ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects in a changing environment
- possess a unique combination of change-mindset and flexibility on one side, and on the other side a strong focus on standards and consistency
- are an ambitious team player who see and appreciate the challenge in questioning status quo on your way to find the right solution for us as an organization, balancing a variety of interests.
