You will be joining a dynamic team of 28+ designers that strives to develop leading chipsets for hearing applications. The IC team innovates and develops a wide variety of ultra-low power mixed circuits in nanometer CMOS technologies from transistor-level to GDS and silicon. You will work alongside some of the top specialists in analog and digital IC design, audio processing, radio systems and electronics integration.
You will hold a supporting role for the whole chip design team, by providing a high-quality design flow in 3-4 leading-edge CMOS nodes. You will directly interface with EDA tools application engineers and foundry design-kits providers to achieve smooth integration in our design flows. Your ideas will immediately benefit the team performance in chip design execution.
Your primary tasks in this role are:

- Setup and customization of foundry design kits (PDK)
- Installation of advanced IC design tools and integration in the design flows
- Script development to optimize the design flows (Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell, …)
- Explore new EDA tools, define their integration strategy in the flows
- Contribute to our Linux IT infrastructure & SW purchasing decisions

You hold a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering / Computer Science or a Bachelor’s degree with experience, with good knowledge and projects experience in IC design, and you have:
- Excellent scripting skills in a Linux environment
- A permanent desire to automate things rather than repeating manual tasks
- Curiosity to find, try, and promote “the latest cool feature” in advanced engineering SW
- Preferably some years of IC design experience
- Some experience in EDA tools environment (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys)
- Knowledge of CMOS fabrication basics
- Familiar with a revision control system (Git, Svn, Perforce, CI/CD pipelines …)
- Good communication skills in English
