Global, user-driven innovation – from idea to launch
As Systems engineer you will play a key role as a technical lead in our displaying unit projects by working with our future hardware and software platforms of the company. You will work across several technologies with a focus on bringing the right product to the market.
You are a vital player in product development projects as you may be involved in all aspects of the innovation process – from the conceptual design to the product validation.
Systems engineering in new products development of Displaying Unit products is of increasing importance for Ambu, since our products are becoming more complex, we run more projects in parallel and we rely heavily on a modular approach where the integration of modules into a system is performed by the Systems Engineer.
You will report to the Director, Displaying Units and Systems Engineering in Global Innovation.
Your Responsibilities:
• Identification and understanding of User Needs through engagement with key stakeholders
• Concept development for new products within existing or new clinical areas for Ambu based on our modular capabilities.
• Leading the integration of mechanical, electrical and software components into one embedded system
• Establishing, maintaining, and controlling requirements
• Establishing and maintaining the technical overview incl. interfaces and compromise between modules
• Ensure that parts developed in the project are planned, designed, and developed
• Creation of “project strategy” (with technical mindset) together with the Project Manager
• Backlog refinement and always knowing the critical path
• Setting the right technical team with Project and Module Managers in order to execute according to plan
• Working, documenting, and testing according to FDA and ISO requirements.
• Overall secure together with cross functional stake holders that the document set for the specific product and system follows Ambu procedures and meet the expectations for FDA and MDR submission
Your contact base is broad, and you will collaborate with Ambu’s global organization, all departments involved in product development projects and externally with users, knowledge centers, technical partners and suppliers.
You are an experienced medical device engineer.
We expect you will have one or more of the following skills and experiences
• Background as engineer, and knows what it takes to make high quality products
• Experienced as a technical project leader or system engineer in a regulated industry
• Experience in working with requirement management
• Proven experiences in working with systems engineering, eg. integration, configuration, requirements
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Have a passion for new technologies and trends
• Knowledge within standards for medical devices ex. IEC 60601-1 and IEC 62304
As Ambu is a global company, it is important that you communicate fluently in English
