In this challenging two-year graduate position, you will contribute directly to Ambu’s success and work with our strategy in different teams. You will work across functions in Global Innovation (R&D) and Marketing, supporting initiatives to succeed with our strategy – “The Innovation Race”. You will be part of an effective innovation culture with a tradition for fast completion of projects. This means there will be a visible link between your results and Ambu’s growth. As a consequence, you will experience many different angles to our strategy during your two-year graduate program.
You will be part of a dynamic innovation culture characterised by a strong team spirit. Our Global Innovation team consists of more than 300 people located at our headquarters in Ballerup and Innovation centres in Germany and Malaysia.
A graduate program with responsibilities
As a Global Innovation Graduate at Ambu, you will have a unique opportunity to get a holistic view of the entire product development process – from understanding our markets and user needs, to developing technology and products, all the way to product launch. We cannot promise that you will be actively involved in all phases. However, you will have an opportunity to build a well-rounded experience linking product development with user needs, developing portfolio planning, innovation strategy and system architecture. We offer a challenging and fun two-year graduate program where you will be an important player on the innovation team. You will participate in securing our ongoing dedication to bringing new quality products to the market. We are looking for two graduates to join Global Innovation Strategy. During the graduate program, you will join four different teams from below list. The specific rotation plan for each program will depend on your individual profile and competences.
In between one of the rotations between departments you will have the opportunity to visit one of our Global Innovation sites in Germany or Malaysia.
You will have a mix of assignments depending on the team/department and you will be involved in different cross functional innovation strategy initiatives. The graduate program starts in September 2022 and you will become a permanent employee from day one. At the end of the graduate program, you may continue your career in Ambu, most likely in one of the areas that you worked with during your graduate program.
Strong team player with high technical skills
We are looking for an energetic graduate who wants to kick start his or her career and who is willing to go the extra mile for a promising career in the MedTech industry.
It is required that you are about to graduate, or that you have graduated no more than 2 years ago, with a relevant engineering Master's degree. Additionally, you also have to have excellent academic achievements from your studies.
As a person you are rounded, curious and hardworking with outstanding interpersonal skills. In Global Innovation we are dependent on good team spirit and working relationships so being a team player who have a strong drive and passion is vital for the position. You are well-structured with strong analytical skills and you have the ability to go into details when it is appropriate and to take a more holistic view when it is required.
As you will be working with users across the world it is vital that you are fluent in written and oral English.

- Global Innovation strategy: Working closely with the Executive Management Director to drive our global Innovation strategy across all functions
- Value stream planning: Supporting the long-term portfolio planning of a selected clinical segment, working both with Global Innovation and Marketing responsible
- Modular Engineering: Implementing ways of working, processes and governance across Visualization module teams
- Innovation Project Management: Supporting an innovation project team in a coordinator role, getting a deep understanding of how a development project is run
- Displaying Units & System Engineering: Contributing to a Displaying Unit module team with developing a module strategy and roadmaps, driving cutting edge technology advancements
- Regulatory Affairs: Obtaining a regulatory approval for a new product in the most effective way to support Ambu’s fast iteration innovation and speed to market
- Clinical Affairs: Joining the clinical research team driving clinical- evaluation, investigation, and evidence for EU & US submission for new product developments
- Portfolio Strategy in Global Marketing: Undertaking market research to understand user needs and scale market potential through market size estimation and project valuation modelling
