Would you like to join our sustainability journey in Ambu? Can you contribute with expertise and professionalism within the areas of sustainability, environment and climate? Then you have a unique opportunity to join our Global Sustainability team as Environment and Climate Specialist.
We are looking for a new colleague to develop and improve our sustainability work as we are ambitious and keen to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals – SDG’s.
Ambu is an international and inspiring company with ambitious growth targets. We develop, produce and sell medical devices that enable doctors and nurses to save lives on a daily basis.
You will be a member of the Global Sustainability team in our headquarter in Ballerup and report to the Director of Global Sustainability.
Responsibilities As Environment And Climate Specialist
The Global Sustainability team was established in 2020 and although we have achieved a lot in those first two year, we have a lot of work ahead of us. We are looking for a specialist to work with energy use, CO2 emissions, transport, waste, water, plastics, sustainable development goals and circular economy in a life cycle perspective. You will be responsible for the work with SDG 12 ”Responsible consumption and production” and SGD 13 ”Climate action” including mapping of environmental impacts throughout the value chain, identification of possible actions to mitigate impacts and in defining, implementing and following up on actions
You will contribute with research, sustainability assessments, documentation and suggestion for solutions to diverse and different environmental topics
Additional Responsibilities Will Be To
• Use our new Scope 3 CO2 emissions mapping to identify CO2 reductions
• Develop our SBTi targets and get them validated
• Support implementation of the EU Taxonomy and the upcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
• Collection and presentation of environmental data from our four global production sites and international sales offices.
• Contribute to translate academically and technical difficult topics into a language which makes sense and is understood by our stakeholders e.g. customers and investors
• Contribute to the development of presentations, information material etc. to be used by different stakeholders in the organization e.g. sales and marketing
• Contribute to the shared work with materiality assessment and ESG reporting inkl. Quarterly ESG reports, our annual Sustainability report and CDP reporting.
Solid Experience Within Environment And Sustainability
It is a requirement that you have a few years of experience with environment and sustainability. Experience with the methodologies of Life Cycle Assessments and the thorough documentation practices related to this is beneficial.
As a person you are a proactive self-starter with an ability of managing, executing and successfully delivering on several projects simultaneously, with strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset. Furthermore, you must have a love for numbers and believe that Excel is your best friend.
Since we are a global company, you will be involved in cross-cultural collaboration. Therefore, it is important that you communicate on a high level in written and verbal English .
