Engineer for international cooperation on grid development

Can you combine Danish and global experience on grid planning and grid connection and facilitate new solutions to accelerate the green transition? This is a unique opportunity to influence the Danish and the global green transition. As a part of Energinet’s international consultancy you will initiate and drive international collaboration and establish and maintain relations with our international partners.

You will contribute to the global green transition by sharing the Danish experience with integration of a large share of renewable electricity.

You will be part of an organisation where flexibility and work life in balance are high on the agenda. You will therefore be offered equipment for a good home workplace in order to be able to vary in the best possible way with being at our head office in Fredericia and at home.

Interest in grid development and grid connection

We are looking for a new colleague who can both understand and communicate the overall grid planning and connection process - and also understand the more detailed modelling and technical assumptions.

You will work closely with colleagues from several departments in Energinet regarding grid planning, grid analysis, grid connection and technical knowledge on cables, stations and asset management. You must be able to facilitate the collaboration between very technically skilled colleagues and our international partners.

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Project initiation and project management of international projects with focus on grid planning and connection
  • Participating in international projects and sharing Energinet experience and approach to grid planning and connection
  • Developing and maintaining relations with Energinet’s international key stakeholders and customers for international consultancy, e.g., the Danish Energy Agency, Danish and international stakeholders, and organizations.
  • Coordinating relevant international delegations visiting Energinet

You can look forward to a job with large responsibility, variety, and complexity. You will work with colleagues from all Energinet and be part of the core consultancy team in Energinet Associated Activities. Read more about us here.

Travel is expected as part of the job and the projects.

International outlook and communication

Your background is a masters or bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of related experience with grid planning and connection on electricity transmission grid - and preferably also experience from the consultancy business. You have a good technical understanding of high-voltage electricity systems, and you are always curious and interested in new perspectives and ways of solving technical challenges.

With your good communication skills, you can explain complex issues as well as present a holistic view to both colleagues and stakeholders from other parts of the world and with different cultural background. Long term relations are important to you and when you collaborate with others you create an atmosphere of trust for continuous development.

You write and speak English fluently and preferably also Danish.
