We are currently looking for a talented and detail oriented student assistant to our finance department, in Group Treasury. If you are the kind of person who likes to do the same thing every day, working at Scandinavian Tobacco Group is not for you. Group Treasury consists of 3 employees and is part of our Group Finance department. The treasury area is highly centralised within our Group and the department is responsible for our Group’s bank relations, cash management, liquidity planning, funding, insurance and risk management. We work as an “internal bank” for the Group and manage cash pools, internal loans/deposits, guarantees as well as managing the Group’s currency exposure.
Your Job
In your job, you will assist with some recurring tasks but will also be responsible for own assignments and smaller projects. For the right candidate, we can promise you very diverse tasks. Your responsibilities and assignments will be within the following areas:
You will have contact with colleagues within our Group worldwide as well as with external parties, such as our banks and insurers. You will report to Jakob Berning, Head of Tax, Treasury and M&A and work at our headquarter in Gentofte. We expect you to work approximately 15-20 hours per week and specific works days may be coordinated with your manager. We are of course flexible around exams.
Qualifications
You enjoy working with numbers and have an interest in Corporate Finance together with good Excel skills. As many of your assignments will be to coordinate and communicate with others; you must be open and cooperative when interacting with colleagues around the world. You are probably studying cand.merc., economics or similar on your third year at CBS or KU, or you are on your first year of your MSc. You work independently, take ownership and keep deadlines. You will work with colleagues on four continents and it is therefore important that you speak and write English fluently.

- Liquidity and cash management
- Preparing financial analysis from internal/external parties.
- Support the Group Insurance Programmes
- Monitoring of currency risk
- Internal and external compliance reporting
- Various ad hoc finance projects
