As Scandinavian Tobacco Group is consolidating as a global and publicly listed organization, the requirements for change is increasing, and so is the focus on internal controls in the Group. In the recently re-shaped Financial Compliance department you will be an integrated part of building, implementing and driving a global framework for assuring and monitoring internal controls related to financial reporting. The department is working throughout the organisation, and you will therefore have ample opportunity to be a key player, work independently and set your mark.
Your responsibility will include:
The position is located in our head office in Gentofte, reporting directly to Head of Financial Compliance. Our department scope is global, and you should therefore anticipate approx. 20-30 travels days per year, to which you will have some influence on when they are scheduled.
What is needed to succeed?
You have a solid theoretical background, preferably a master’s degree in auditing, and you master English, both written and verbally. You optimally have 3-4 years practical experience with internal controls and frameworks, and you have strong IT skills. You can maneuver in a multicultural/global atmosphere, you understand the complexity of working in a corporate environment and you are a natural networker, allowing you to work on all levels of a global organization. You thrive in a transforming and changing environment. You love learning and trying new things, and you are excited about bringing your ideas to the table and taking ownership of your work. You are honest and dependable, and committed to empowering others. You are passionate about doing a great job.

We are a small, dynamic, high performing function, in continuous development, supporting our business and assisting the financial departments around the globe being better and compliant. We are a part of Group Finance, and we report to both upper management and directly to Audit Committee. We support the global financial agenda across 20 offices and countries including Europe, US, Caribbean & South East Asia.

- Assist our entities understand the global financial framework, including tools, templates, instructions and help them fulfil, document and adhere to our internal control processes across the Group
- Support and enable standardised business processes across Group entities
- Help bringing the Group to the next level of digitalization and automation within the control journey
- Perform control visits with entities, execute tests of controls and document these
- Help support and facilitate the Group’s control submission in Impero
- Assist our entities in improving processes and controls which impact the internal control environment
