The job
As a part of the HQ Finance department you will have a key role as Finance Business Partner supporting the Europe Branded Division. Primary focus will be on analysis and reporting of monthly results, forecasting and budgeting, and general financial analysis to support the business. The Finance Business Partner must have solid knowledge of finance and accounting, preferably with experience related to consumer products, manufacturing and exposure to product pricing and costing. As part of this process, you will work with the senior stakeholders, drive analysis on various business opportunities, as well as lead execution as a project manager on certain strategic projects.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Acting as a sparring partner by offering general financial support to commercial decision makers
  • Business planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Month end participation - compiling and reviewing financial results/performance
  • Support the preparation of KPI’s and financial analysis used for Senior Leadership reviews
  • Analyze brand, and customer profitability – good understanding of the various profitability levers
  • Identify business risks and opportunities through analysis and by asking the right questions
  • Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and participate in special Finance projects

You will be working out of our head office in Gentofte, Denmark, reporting to Head of Finance Europe, and should expect 10-15 travel days per year.

What is needed to succeed?
In addition to having a solid and relevant economical/financial theoretical background, at bachelor or Master’s level, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance from an international environment, preferably within FMCG. Other skills to be successful on the role:

  • Strong analytical skills with passion for providing analysis and insight
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain financial information to various internal stakeholders
  • Preferred experience related to consumer products, manufacturing and exposure to product pricing and costing
  • Ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Passionate for business and process improvement and foster a culture of sharing best practices
  • Excellent PC skills and experience using financial systems (preferably Oracle & SAP) plus Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in an environment emphasizing teamwork to meet deliverables
  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities
  • Ability to confidently work with Senior Management
