Data Quality Analyst
Summary:
Scandinavian Tobacco Group is looking to strengthen our Data Governance Team with an experienced Data Quality Analyst who is passionate about Master Data Management, knows the value of good quality data, and can track relations between data sources and applications.
The Data Governance Team is based in Gentofte (DK) and together with you, reports to the Data Governance & Insight Manager. We work closely with colleagues and stakeholders in other work locations, and the team plays a vital role across the organization.
This is a permanent position, and we are offering flexible working conditions. We also have a bunch of interesting social activities when you are in the office.

Here at Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), we are excited to have embarked on a global transformation journey to simplify our IT landscape, going from many local setups to one global ERP (SAP S/4Hana). To ensure high data quality and to succeed with data migration from local to global, we have designed and started to roll out a global data governance framework, establishing a data ownership organization with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

What you can expect in a Data Quality Analyst role at STG:
- Being the point of contact for data quality monitoring and reporting matters, supporting key stakeholders in data quality improvement initiatives across the company.
- Monitor adherence to data definitions, standards, and processes with your colleagues and convert data rules into quality metrics for tracking and execution purposes.
- As you mature in the role, you will become our MDM tool (CluedIn) expert, owning the processes and Master Data quality for our business-critical Master Data objects within the tool.
Also, as our Data Quality Analyst, you will:
- Liaise with key stakeholders to understand master data standards, dataflows, and other business definitions to build appropriate data quality reports
- Update and maintain KPIs in the data quality monitoring dashboards
- Align cleansing activities with your colleagues in the data governance team
- Assist in identifying, comparing, and solving data quality issues
- Drive the verification, cleaning, enrichment, and deduplication of master data information in our MDM tool
- Setup data governance rules and alerts in the MDM tool to support data governance activities
- Support your colleagues in the data governance team by implementing the compliance and monitoring processes in the organization
- Support business projects in data profiling, data cleansing, and migration activities
Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):
You are a Data Quality Expert with proven hands-on skills gained from a similar position in a global setup who works systematically with a structured approach and is familiar with all aspects of Data quality monitoring and controls.
More specifically, you should have a successful track record in most of the following areas:
- Up to 2 years of work experience in a comparable position
- Solid understanding of master data management and data governance in general
- Experience with data profiling, data cleaning, and quality activities
- Experience with translating data rules into measurable KPIs
- Experience with setting up Data Quality Monitoring
- Experience with enterprise-wide solutions for master data management
- Experience with Power BI and SQL
- Understanding of external factors influencing master data, business processes, and (master) data models such as competitors, regulatory requirements, and best-in-class practices
- Knowledge of enterprise-wide solutions (SAP S/4Hana and SAP MDG) will be an advantage
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to contribute both independently and as part of a team
