You will be part of Group Technology in Hedehusene, Denmark – part of the main organisation of ROCKWOOL International – where we create and deliver machines and production equipment as well as entire production lines for our international production sites. In this department, you will join Operational Technology & Electrical Project Management and 23 colleagues with strong engineering backgrounds within electrical design, automation technology and project management.

You will head up a group of 10-12 specialists within automation and electrical design. This means that you will take on the overall responsibility for Group activities, delivering projects and services in a professional framework. The aim is to continuously optimise the output from the department and from ROCKWOOL’s engineering function, Group Technology.
Naturally, a good part of your work will involve people management and planning resources for projects, but a large part of your day will also revolve around the technical responsibility for electrical and automation standards within the ROCKWOOL Group. This also means that you will have the technical dialogue with your team and other colleagues as you:
• Optimise the set-up to improve individual and departmental performance
• Coach your team members and act as their professional sounding board
• Work with colleagues inside your area of expertise as well as from other departments, such as process specialists or mechanical engineers
• Travel around 30 days per year to the US, Asia, Russia and within Europe to maintain your technical knowledge and understanding of working methods at the different production sites
In this position, it is important that you are not afraid to bring your own ideas to the table while also driving the development of our existing standards and your team. We are looking for a motivational leader who can facilitate great teamwork in order for the team to deliver successfully in a project organisation. Moreover, we imagine that you:
• Hold a degree in engineering combined with a solid background within the automation/electrical area
• Preferably have some years of experience with line management and project management within engineering
• Have a profound technical understanding
• Have excellent communication skills and are fluent in English – additional languages are a plus
