The position We are looking for 2 experienced project managers for our expanding portfolio of Primary Packaging projects. As a Project Manager, you will work closely with colleagues in drug and device R&D, Product Supply, and Supply Chain to assent to the requirements. The assignments carried out by the department are diverse as we deliver to all parts of Novo Nordisk. For this reason, you will have the opportunity to be part of the solution for a variety of challenges. In this role, the responsibilities will include:
  • Development of primary packaging systems for oral and/or injectable drugs, such as blister cards or bottles for tablets; vial/syringe systems; manual pre-filled syringe or multiuse-cartridge systems for liquid drugs.
  • Acting as the point of contact in project governance, making decisions to drive the project forward according to overall timelines.
  • Being responsible for the development plan, resource planning, and timely delivery of projects.
  • Leading the project team in primary packaging development for clinical trials/market from the ideation phase to drug product launch.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of designs/products for clinical trials and documentation for submission.
  • Ensuring agreements and fostering good collaboration between stakeholders, including coordination with drug development and production, which is key to success.
  • Qualification To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering or another relevant field within the natural sciences.
  • A minimum of 3 years of project management experience, preferably within product development or aseptic production in the life sciences or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience in primary packaging for pharmaceutical products and medical devices.
  • Relevant project management education, e.g., Prince 2 certification.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

About the department Primary Packaging Development team is situated in Devices and Delivery Solutions, a business unit within the global Development organization located in Hillerød in the greater Copenhagen area with state-of-the-art R&D facilities. Devices and Delivery Solutions has the mandate and responsibility to innovate and develop the most innovative delivery solutions for the entire portfolio of Novo Nordisk’s pharmaceutical products. The unit is comprised of project management, engineering, and technical functions spanning across all competencies required to deliver on a diverse portfolio of drug/combination product and device projects. You will be part of an organization of highly skilled people – maybe the best in the industry. You will join a new, growing, and dynamic department consisting of 25 highly skilled and ambitious developers/ specialists and project managers, people who work dedicated to developing and implementing primary packaging solutions in Novo Nordisk.
