Global Contract Manufacturing Devices (GCMD) is looking to expand our team with an automation engineer to execute automation projects and support our global fleet of assembly and packaging lines. The position You will join a team of highly skilled engineers supporting our global production network (Denmark/US/China/Europe). Your focus will be on improvements, upgrades, and expansion of production capacity. As you will be supporting our global production facilities, you must thrive in a flexible environment, where priorities and tasks change depending on the demand at our suppliers. Your tasks will amongst others be to: Drive digitalization and automation projects. Use systematic problem solving and a LEAN mindset to solve production issues, e.g. bug-fixing and optimizations. Participate and assist in ramp-up activities. Collaborate across many functional areas and with people from different backgrounds. Assist your colleagues with subject matter expertise within automation and digitalization Depending on task and agreements traveling days are expected. During onboarding there will be few, but this will increase when projects are taking place. Qualifications We envision candidates having an academical degree within the field of Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, or Industrial Engineering. A strong understanding of mechatronic systems is a key requirement for this position. As a person, you have a proactive mindset, and find it natural to establish relations with other people and communicating constructively. Finally, you speak English fluently. A strong understanding of mechatronic systems Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, C++, Java, etc.) Knowledge and experience in server and IT infrastructure operations, e.g. network setup, patching, and performance monitoring is an advantage. Mechanical understanding of CAM and/or servo-controlled machines, including motion control is an advantage. Knowledge of machine vision and machine learning is an advantage but not a requirement. Knowledge of GMP is an advantage but not a requirement. About the department You will join TechOps Assembly and Pack in GCMD located in 24A at site Hillerød, Denmark. TechOps is a senior director area where we are approximately 70 colleagues, working in 6 teams, and we assembly the mechanical Motor Modules (sub-assembly) and we are preparing for the technical support for 3 new devices. We deliver large quantities to our sister factories that handles final assembly and pack. We are dedicated to delivering strong results that add to the success of by ensuring high-quality components at a competitive cost for our customers within prefilled devices.
