Are you energised by developing the next and game-changing pen needle at Novo Nordisk? Are you looking for an opportunity to use your skills to develop manufacturing equipment and products? Then you might be our new Development Engineer at our Novo Nordisk production site in Hjørring called Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing. The position
As Development Engineer, you will play a key role in our development projects, getting production equipment ready to produce new pen needle technology. You will be a main driver in implementation of our new assembly line and test methods. Your primary tasks could be:
• Designing, building, and documenting production and test equipment
• Programming and testing the production and test equipment
• Facilitating activities to transform requirements into work packages through workshops together with technical experts and process responsibles
• Taking a central role in supplier and technology selection, system design, FAT/SAT-activities, installation, qualification, and verification of equipment. You get the opportunity to work with the latest technology, vision systems and robotics together with experts, project managers and suppliers around the world.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you have:
• M.Sc. or B.Sc within mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, marine engineering, automation technician, Machinist or similar
• Experience within manufacturing equipment development
• Experience or at least an interest in building knowledge within CAD
• Knowledge of automation and robots which will be preferable but not a prerequisite
• 2+ years of experience
• A constructive and iterative attitude
• Proficiency in English

About the department
You will be part of the Needle Manufacturing Development department in the New Product Introduction team and have 15 dedicated colleagues. Our main responsibilities are:
• Establishing manufacturing equipment for new products
• Being a key partner to R&D within manufacturing development for new products
• Planning and execution of projects on our site in Hjørring
• Product maintenance on the pen needle portfolio. We value professionalism, a high sense of responsibility and an open and informal dialogue. The team is part of Needle Manufacturing & Sourcing which is overall responsible for the global end-to-end supply chain of Novo Nordisk's pen needles including both internal and external production, quality assurance, and manufacturing development. We are organised in seven departments and with app. 450 employees dedicated to ensuring the pen needle supply to Novo Nordisk.
