Lowell Operational Analytics – linking business decisions with quantitative modelling and data

Detail-oriented data professional with technical skills and the ability to manage projects

As our new colleague in Lowell, you will help to further enhance our capabilities in steering the way our operations utilize data and advanced modelling techniques in our processes.

Your unique understanding of the technical concepts around modelling, advanced analytics, machine learning and their deployment is central for your tasks and projects. Therefore, your capability to gather data and assess the possibilities of solving our business problems with the before mentioned methodologies is pivotal for business. Combining this with your project management skills, the ability to push the development initiatives forward, calculating business cases, planning the projects and communicating effectively with all the stakeholders is how you’ll succeed in your role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

what you are going to do:

  • Creation and ownership of operations score card / modelling roadmap, participating in the development of the models and validating the results
  • Deep subject matter expert in the areas of statistical modelling, advanced analytics and application of data driven methods in operational processes

  • Identify areas where modern data driven methodologies (e.g. scorecards, forecast & segmentation models,) could realize in concrete business value

  • Form hypotheses based on operations data and test them in practice

  • Modelling operations processes to identify improvement areas

  • Developing the monitoring framework for the models, ensuring the performance and planning the updating of the models

  • Interpreting and communicating the results to relevant stakeholders and giving recommendations based on the findings

  • Participating in data analytics development projects

QUALIFICATIONS

we expect that you:

  • hold a Master’s in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics etc
  • have hands-on experience in statistical methodologies, advanced analytics and applying them in operative business problems
  • have programming experience with Python, R
  • have experience working with SQL, Azure or similar
  • have experience with project management
  • are fluent in English – both written and verbal

SKILLS

we expect that you:

  • have an analytical, independent and structured way of working
  • have good communication skills
  • have the ability to drive advanced analytics development projects from ideation to deployment and monitoring
  • have strong data visualization skills and ability for “data storytelling”
  • are able to interpret results to insightful analysis and recommendations
