Do you have solid experience within project portfolio management and execution of investment projects? Do you get motivated by setting direction and improving investment projects for the benefit of millions of patients worldwide? Come and join Business Support and be our new Senior Project Portfolio Manager, responsible for our investment portfolio in our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) Production. The position As a Senior Project Portfolio Manager, you will be setting directions for professionalised investment project portfolio management. You will drive the breakdown of strategy and its translation into guidance for project selection and prioritisation together with the Corporate Vice President (CVP) management group. Additionally, you will be a business partner to the CVP management team and on a department level, establishing and developing strategic direction and ensure organisational readiness for the future. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring effective execution and management of projects in the large project portfolio in our business area.
  • Securing and developing a well-established project management governance incl. gate approval of projects and setting directions for project controls.
  • Coaching and partnering with the CVP management team and Senior Project Managers and Project Directors.
  • Close collaboration with our suppliers/partners in connection to our project portfolio.
    • As a business partner you will drive strategic ambitions and business plan including establishment of strategy framework and translation of strategy into execution-oriented Business Plans. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have strong project management skills, experience with project portfolio management and ability to network, build trust and get commitment from internal and external stakeholders. You thrive by setting directions and have proven experience with strategy work and establishment of a strong governance and structure. You have:
  • Some years of experience with project portfolio management, preferably in the global pharmaceutical industry or a consulting company. Alternatively, you could come with project management experience if you have managed huge investment projects.
  • A track record of project leadership that has resulted in a smooth and cooperative process within projects and with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to coach others. It would be an advantage if you have coached senior project management and project directors in gate presentations for SVP and higher approval limits.
  • Educational background as an engineer or similar would be an advantage.
    • On a personal level, you are a self-starter who thrives in driving tasks independently. You have excellent stakeholder management skills and can communicate with all levels of the organisation. You set clear directions, you are goal-oriented, and a team player. You are structured and can create clear and high-quality presentation materials. About the department You will be a part of a Business Support department in one of our production facilities in Kalundborg, Denmark. The department is app. 90 highly engaged employees divided in 4 different teams. The department is supporting the productions within the supply chain, finance, warehousing, training, document handling, IT management, and project management. We have an increasing portfolio of diverse projects in a complex, constantly growing, and highly regulated area. You will be working very closely with our project office, be a part of our Business Support management team and be a close business partner to the CVP management group.
