The Position As an Associate Process Scientist, you will work with securing the best medicine for our patients in a team of 19 colleagues of both other scientists and laboratory technicians. We are cooperating with other laboratory teams in the department and the Manufacture 1 (M1) production plant. You will be the main go-to person for the High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) analyses of our products and collaborate with other Quality Control (QC) laboratories in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) production. The main tasks will be to:
• Coordinate cross-departmental tasks on behalf of the department.
• Optimize processes and implement changes.
• Handle deviations.
• Work with Lean and data analysis.
• Provide support to the lab technicians. This position is temporary for a period of 2 years. Qualifications To be considered for this position, you should:
• Hold a relevant academic degree in natural sciences, engineering, pharmacology or similar.
• Have GMP experience and knowledge about cLEAN.
• Preferably have experience with HPLC analysis in the laboratory from the pharmaceutical industry or another GMP-regulated environment.
• Have QC compliance experience.
• Have full professional proficiency in Danish and English. On a personal level, you have a great sense of curiosity, sense of humour and an open, positive mind. The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with a proactive approach, while focusing on possibilities instead of limitations are essential part of our work. To be successful in this role, it is crucial to understand new priorities easily and independently ensure flow of tasks. Being a professional who works independently in a structured way whilst being a strong team player, while keeping in mind the team, department and area are key skills we build on in our team. About the department In Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), located in Kalundborg, we produce insulin and GLP-1 to help people living with chronical diseases like diabetes and obesity. We always have many exciting projects across Novo Nordisk - some require entirely new setups to utilize the opportunities in contemporary technology, while other are more focused on optimizing existing setups.
Manufacture 1 in Kalundborg is the world’s largest insulin factory. We produce the active ingredients which are the main component in many of Novo Nordisk’s products including our new oral product Rybelsys® for which we have high expectations. M1 is unique as we have the entire production chain gathered under one roof. The QC department in M1 consists of 5 teams and consists of approximately 60 colleagues all in all.
