The position
As our new Finance Intern, you will be involved in multiple activities within the field of finance but will mainly focus on supporting the team members about running processes such as budget and month-end closures as well as running smaller projects, while interacting with stakeholders at different levels. You will report to the Head of API Expansions Finance who you will interact on a daily/weekly basis, and handle various assignments related to the projects.
Practicalities: Internship period: 3-6 months Working hours: min. 18 and max. 37 hours per week Start date: 1st of August 2024 with flexibility Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows A Danish full-time work permit is required Please note that students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. The working hours are flexible from a minimum of 18 to a maximum of 37 hours a week enabling you to combine an internship with lectures at university, project work, or writing your Bachelor/Master’s thesis. Qualifications
You are a student who is currently studying Master’s degree or in the final year of your Bachelor’s degree within a field with a relevant Financial focus. We are looking for an intern who is interested in the finances of huge investment projects aimed at increasing production capacity. You want to show your competencies in practice, and you see potential in continuing in Novo Nordisk after the internship.
To succeed in this role, you need: Structured mindset with solid interpersonal and time-management skills to deliver concrete results Team player spirit with proactiveness and a high level of engagement Strong responsibility and wise decision-making in handling a large volume of projects Fluency in both written and spoken English As a person, you are service-minded, thrive in a busy environment, and focus on solutions and opportunities. API Expansions Finance is part of API Finance & Procurement based in Kalundborg, Denmark. The team is involved in the finance activities related to the new expansion projects for additional API capacity with projects primarily in Kalundborg but also spanning Hillerød and the US. Activities include but are not limited to budgeting, financial reporting, ensuring high compliance, and controlling.
We work closely with multiple stakeholders involved in the project and support areas, as well as the stakeholders financially responsible for the project portfolio. You will be part of the API Expansions Finance team consisting of 5-6 employees, embedded in API Finance & Procurement with approximately 25 colleagues in total. Working at Novo Nordisk
