Scientist for PAT development and implementation - focus area on-line HPLC/PATrol Would you like to combine your expertise within chromatographic analysis development, with your flair for analytical instruments, Process analytical Technology (PAT) and data? We are looking for a talented scientist to join our PAT development team in PS API manufacturing development (MDev) for development, implementation, validation, and lifecycle management of on-line HPLC/PATrol. The position You will play a key role in the development, implementation, validation, and lifecycle management of chromatographic PAT for integrated real-time process control of current and future manufacturing processes. This includes analysis, instrumentation, process integration, and data management in lab- and production-scale. Chromatographic PAT is fairly new in Novo Nordisk and the pharmaceutical industry in general, and you will be joining a group of specialists, technicians, and engineers that have innovated a chromatographic PAT solution (on-line HPLC/PATrol) from idea to ready-for-implementation solution. We need someone with a unique set of competencies and the ability to combine these in a new way, to help us take it into our new facilities and make it live. To have success in this position, you will need to be able to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and collaborators incl. project and manufacturing teams, QA/QC, scientists and technicians in research and analytical teams, as well as vendors and facility engineers. Qualifications We are interested in finding a highly adaptable professional with analytical, innovative and collaborative skills. You must excel independently and within a team, ensuring timely and practical solutions, while also possessing the ability to make decisions. To excel in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in science or engineering e.g., chemistry, biotechnology or equivalent
  • Experience with liquid chromatographic analysis development and validation
  • Experience with analytical instruments and data handling
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and collaborators
  • It would be an advantage if you have:
  • Experience with HPLC/PATrol (Waters) and/or PAT
  • Experience from the pharmaceutical industry/knowledge of GMP
  • Willingness to learn and expand your skills
  • Good organisational, planning, and time management skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • About the Department In Product Supply (PS) API in Kalundborg, we manufacture the high quality active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) that are the main component in all Novo Nordisk products. Manufacturing development, or just MDev, is specialised in supporting the manufacturing processes. PS API MDev Analytical Support is responsible for providing analytical support to PS API MDev’s optimisation projects, as well as supporting process and analytical development for new products. The department plays a vital role in support to the production and QC laboratories in PS API. PS API MDev Analytical Support is in Kalundborg, and is comprised of 80 engaged employees organised in five teams. This position is in the PAT development team.
