Novo Nordisk is seeking a dynamic Project Vice President, Purification Process to join our expanding team in Kalundborg, where we are investing DKK 42 billion to enhance our manufacturing facilities for chronic disease treatments. The position As a Project Vice President Purification, you will have the opportunity to build and lead your own organisation as our project evolves through different phases from completion of design over construction to commissioning and finally validation and ramp-up. You will head up a diverse team responsible for overseeing installation and testing of the new Purification facility, as well as leading qualification and validation activities. Finally, you will become responsible for the operations of this brand-new pharmaceutical plant and head-up an organisation of app. 350 highly skilled employees. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Building a highly effective and efficient organisation capable of delivering the project as well as ramping up operations
  • Leading the qualification/validation of process equipment and facility
  • Leading operational readiness for the Purification facility
  • Setting direction for engineering partners and contractors
  • Communicate project and operational readiness status to stakeholders incl. senior management
  • Leading leaders
    • Qualifications We are seeking an outstanding individual who holds the following qualifications:
  • An academic degree within engineering, natural sciences or business
  • Solid leadership background within the pharmaceutical and/or technical supply industry
  • Data-based approach to decision-making
  • Fluency both spoken and written English. Fluency in Danish would be an advantage
    • As a person, you have excellent relationship-building skills and a positive attitude. You are acknowledged for solving complex business challenges to everyone’s satisfaction with the long term in mind. You understand that you can only succeed by empowering your team. You support them by setting clear direction and making timely decisions, also when difficult. You follow-up on agreements to make sure progress is kept and deadlines are met. About the department The Project Vice President Purification role is part of the M3 project, Novo Nordisk’s largest investment project to date. The project is located in Kalundborg, Denmark, where we design and build future API facilities as multi-product facilities. The M3 team is a diverse group of approximately 350 talented colleagues from over 30 different national backgrounds.
