The position As the Associate Value Strategy and Payer Engagement (VSPE) Director you will be in charge for the development of the value strategy and market access planning for key pipeline products in Obesity. You will be the informal lead of a matrix access team, and you will collaborate with other Global functions across the value chain. Further, you will engage proactively with the broader market access network of stakeholders in Operations to deliver best-in-class Global Access strategies, Global Payer Value stories and to provide Global access support during the peri-launch and lifecycle management process. Some other responsibilities will include:
  • To act as the Market Access point of contact for specific Obesity assets, having an overall responsibility for the timely progression and follow-up on cross-functional access projects.
  • Represent the Obesity Market Access team in relevant governance teams (i.e. commercial pipeline teams, Global project teams etc.).
  • Lead market access activities for pipeline assets and ensure consideration and implementation of market access requirements into development plans across Obesity pipeline.
  • Lead development of payer value communication materials and tools and support LCM activities
  • Drive external payer engagement activities to inform, substantiate and drive our access approaches.
  • Identify payer environment trends and their implications for access strategies within Obesity.
  • Please note that this position is a 12-month maternity cover. Qualifications To succeed in this role, the ideal person will bring:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive market access experience (+5 years), both from strategic and operational market access roles, ideally within pharmaceutical industry and/or a consultancy company.
  • High degree of business and industry insight, solid experience with setting the direction and the strategy in a complex and changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills.
  • Fluency in oral and written English.
  • As a person you have strong commercial understanding and a high degree of ambition, personal drive and ability to work both independently as well as get things done collaboratively with pace. It comes natural for you to identify new and innovative approaches when driving projects and deliverables related to our assets. About the department The Obesity Market Access department within Novo Nordisk is part of the Obesity Therapy Area and drives the Global market access strategies for our Obesity portfolio. The Obesity Market Access team sets the payer direction for Novo Nordisk’s future drug portfolio within Obesity as well as and drive pre-launch and launch activities in close collaboration with regions and affiliates.
