Revenue Manager to SAS Cargo



The air freight industry has experienced significant growth with increasing demand for cargo services worldwide. Demand is projected to continue increasing and the industry is facing a rapid transformation where digitalization, product development, pricing and advanced analytics play a key role.
SAS Cargo Group (SCG) has been successful in capturing the growth in the market as well as an important enabler for the profitability of SAS long haul operations. We are upgrading our Revenue Management System that will strengthen our O&D based pricing, and we have several commercially strategic initiatives in our pipeline. The Revenue Management team is responsible for the revenue and profit optimization of all available cargo capacity. We seek a Revenue Manager that can help us continuing the to develop and optimize a portfolio of routes, while supporting our adaption to new market reality and embracing new opportunities. Main tasks
The position is part of the Commercial department, responsible for optimizing SAS Cargo’s revenue and contribution. You will be part of a small and diverse team mainly situated in Copenhagen leading the commercial agenda of SAS Cargo, offering a competitive network, relevant products and competitive rates on SAS (and partners) capacity. Your contribution will be key in supporting decision taking for our future pricing and product strategy and support our transition

As a Revenue Manager at SAS Cargo you will:



You will report to the Head of Commercial, working closely with other units in SCG, such as Global Sales, Operations and Strategic Business Development, with the following responsibilities:

• Revenue and profit optimize belly capacity on own route portfolio through optimal (and profitable) rates and sales mix
• Develop and implement revenue maximization strategy (route strategies)
• Responsible for budget / forecasts and monthly revenue estimates on route portfolio
• Monitor and adjust steering (rates, capacity allocation) based on market changes
• Ensure optimal revenue forecasts and availability on own route portfolio using our RM-system
• Evaluate and respond to daily requests spot-rates
• Responsible for campaigns and Special Rate Agreements on own route portfolio
• Evaluate and set allotment allocations
• Work with RM architect and rest of the RM-team to continuously development best practice
• Work cross functional with Network, Pricing, Operations and Global Sales on day-to-day route optimization
• Participate in strategic and tactical projects

Who are we looking for?



You have a superior business judgement and commercial topics supported by data analysis should be something that motivates you. This includes analyzing available sources of internal and external data and information to understand the drivers behind business performance, draw actionable conclusions on how to optimize revenue and profits for your portfolio of flights.

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 2 years’ experience from revenue management or financial analytics within the transportation, logistics/cargo, hospitality, or passenger travel industry
• Strong analytical skills including analysis of large data sets and advanced knowledge of Excel (experience in Power BI is a plus)
• Outstanding decision-making skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with negotiations is an advantage
• Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills, including with senior leadership
• You hold University degree, Master or equivalent

• You are curious, open minded and are willing to go the extra mile
• Able to inspire and collaborate with people in all levels of the organization
• Business driven that will actively seek to make improvements
• Digitally savvy and committed to drive SAS Cargo’s digitalization agenda
• Fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages and English
