Join Funding & Markets, where you’ll be part of the team responsible for all external and internal funding activities of the A.P. Møller- Maersk Group, relationships with credit rating agencies, bond investors, banks, and export credit agencies as well as managing the interest rate risk on group level.

Funding & Markets team is part of the Global Treasury & Risk organization with 60 treasury professionals of 12 nationalities based in Copenhagen, Cape Town, Dubai, The Hague, India, Panama & USA.
As part of the Funding & Markets team, you will act as a subject matter expert on internal financing and guarantees. You will also drive and execute the related day-to-day activities for the Europe region. In addition, you will take responsibility of clearly defined work streams in connection with corporate funding activities such as new bond issuances or raising of new corporate debt.
The position will give you an opportunity to advance your knowledge within treasury and funding activities, and you should expect a dynamic working environment characterized by a broad range of challenging and exciting tasks. In the role you will be in close dialogue with internal and external stakeholders, which will enable you to build your network and add value to our global organization. You will also gain valuable understanding of the treasury operations in a large global corporation which will open ways for your future career both in Copenhagen and abroad.
Responsibilities will include the following:
• Act as a subject matter expert on internal financing and guarantees, i.e. ensuring that the frameworks such as guarantee facilities, loan agreement templates etc. are put in place for the regional treasury managers to execute on.
• Ensuring that all Maersk subsidiaries in Europe are funded efficiently, in line with Maersk’s treasury policy, by taking ownership of the full process. This includes preparing loan agreements, ensuring relevant department sign-off (e.g. tax, transfer pricing, legal, accounting), updating the treasury system, etc.
• Managing large guarantee/trade finance facilities with global banks and supporting Maersk’s European subsidiaries in issuing, cancelling, and negotiating bank guarantees.
• Updating and developing reports relating to intercompany debt and the guarantee portfolio by utilizing and leveraging our treasury system Findur.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders such as banks and the company’s business units.
• Be prepared to take on challenges outside your established job description incl. ad hoc analysis and tasks.
• We are looking for a treasury professional, ideally with 3-5 years of treasury experience from a corporate treasury or a bank.
• You have strong communication and collaboration skills as you will be dealing with many internal and external stakeholders.
• You have a positive and open mindset and are comfortable with working in a changing environment with many different tasks.
• You are a self-starter with ability to work independently and bring projects and work to closure.
• You hold a master’s degree in finance, economics, or similar.
