We are looking for a Press Officer to join the corporate media team.
This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in engaging external in the Maersk transformation as we are taking 80,000 employees on the journey to transform from a conglomerate into a focused, integrated transport & logistics company.
Placed in Copenhagen and reporting to the Head of External Relations you will be a part of a global team consisting of 11 people.
The team has the overall responsibility for developing and executing the media strategy with the aim of protecting and improving the reputation of the company and supporting the business strategy in A.P. Moller - Maersk.

One of your key responsibilities will be to be proactive and set media agendas in Danish media on topics such as business transformation and performance, global trade and ESG.
Other areas of responsibilities:
• Communicate business achievements and drive external understanding of the strategy of the company in close collaboration with your team
• On a daily basis, proactively mitigate corporate issues to protect the company’s reputation and image
• Provide advice and support to executives on external communication and reputation affecting activities
• Prepare and train spokespeople
• Develop key messages, press releases etc.
• Collaborate and coordinate with other departments in the company such as Marketing & Customer Communication, Investor Relations, HR or Technology as well as other teams in the Communication department

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience from working as a journalist or in a similar role, preferably from a large and international organization.
You:
• Are able to be proactive and well organized – and strive with strict deadlines and work under pressure
• Like to develop and pitch interesting stories to the media
• Enjoy building relations and talk to journalists every day
• Have solid experience with issues management
• Have strong writing and editing skills in Danish and English
• Possess excellent media contact lists among Danish journalists
• Have excellent stakeholder management experience and likes working with a broad range of stakeholders; external as well as internal
• Loves to work in a team and have fun while doing it
