Key responsibilities

The Maersk Ocean product team is looking for an innovative business intelligence engineer, with established technological and investigative skills, joining a small team of business intelligence engineers.

As an integrated part of the Maersk Ocean product organisation, you will enable the extended Ocean product team to better understand their current and future customers, while continuously enhancing our data process.

The business intelligence engineer role is original, sitting at the intersection of business, data engineering, analytics, statistics, data science and product management.

The Maersk Ocean product team works with multiple stakeholders to employ descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics. We resolve complex supply chain problems in an inventive and impactful way.

This is an exciting opportunity to deepen your customer centricity through data, becoming part of a curious and motivated executive team and support your fellow business Intelligence team to thrive on their journey.

We are looking for

To succeed in this role, you should:

- Be enthusiastic about working with large datasets scattered across numerous databases supported by diverse technologies.
- Enjoy bringing data together to answer customer’s questions using statistic, data modeling, sentiment analysis and creating world-class text and data analytical tools.
- Have proven experience in converting customer and operational data into actionable business insights for product teams
- Be a creative self-starter, daring to re-invent container transportation

In this role, you will have ownership of end-to-end development of reports and solutions to complex questions, and you will play an integral role in strategic decision-making.
