Reporting to the Head of Global SG&A Partnering you will partner with stakeholders across Finance and beyond to support SG&A aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), integration of financial planning, reporting and cost allocation processes along with synergy identification and benefit realisation.

Key responsibilities
• Partner with the M&A, L&S and Regional Finance teams to explore potential and actual M&A
• Lead on the 1-time activity of financial consolidation of newly acquired M&A into Maersk group financial reporting
• Lead on SG&A cost transparency – work with newly acquired companies to create minimum level of cost transparency
• Co-ordinate with L&S and Regional Finance teams to handover to business as usual, including functional costs/FTEs
• Perform financial planning and reporting including budgeting, forecasts, risks and opportunities for M&A activities
• Partner with Regions and FP&A teams to plan the integration for recently acquired businesses into financial reporting and cost allocations
• Support M&A function on due diligence and other ad-hoc project activities (e.g. joint venture financial operations set-up support), as bandwidth and allows
• Build effective relationship with stakeholders and in all aspects behave as a value adding trusted finance business partner
We are looking for
A highly motivated first year cand.merc student with a major in Accounting and Finance or similar who is a service-minded individual who have the ability to drive things independently, are a quick learner and a self-starter.
Furthermore, you need to have a passion for Finance, M&A and a desire to make a difference. You will need to quickly build productive, collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, use innovation and pragmatism to solve problems and retain constant focus on standardisation and synergies.
