Join the Finance Operations team in a leading and fast-growing biotech company.
You will be responsible for specialized accounting and review tasks. Additionally, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and establishing company procedures in close corporation with your colleagues in Denmark (HQ), Germany, and the US. You will join a dedicated team of 20 colleagues at Global headquarters in Hellerup, and you will report to the Director of Finance Operations.
Your tasks will grow and evolve over time, and this brings the opportunity for further development of your competencies. We are looking for a dynamic and holistically working finance professional.
Main areas of responsibility:
Criteria of success in the role will be to adapt, describe and implement existing and new accounting tasks in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Ascendis Pharma has recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365, which implies transforming our financial systems and processes.
You hold a relevant educational background and several years of documented experience within senior accounting roles, preferably from an international company. Furthermore, you have a solid knowledge of ERP-systems, and you are curious about new accounting systems and possibilities. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Excel is an advantage.
You are proficient in English at a professional level, both written and spoken, and you master MS Office.
You are a highly motivated individual who enjoys being challenged and working in collaborative environments, where you are able to structure, follow up on and complete your tasks.

- Accounting tasks related to significant accounting areas
- Initiate and follow up on continuous improvement initiatives around accounting processes
- Perform internal control procedures
- Period close reconciliations and reviews
- Planning and implementation of existing and future accounting tasks in close cooperation with Director of Finance Operations
- Accounting areas include sensitive areas such as incentive programs, payroll etc.
- Accounting related support to the organization
