You will play a key role in engaging editorial media and broader external audiences in the transformation of Maersk. In collaboration with a diverse and dynamic team of colleagues around the world, you will be part of setting the direction for our global communication in support of the business strategy including developing and executing our media strategy with the aim of strengthening and protecting the reputation of Maersk.

As part of the team, you will be working closely with our executives supporting them in their external communication and media engagements, while also collaborating with subject matter experts across the organization to shape compelling stories and when needed support on crisis management and issues handling. One of your key responsibilities will be to be proactively engage and set media agendas in Danish media on topics such as business transformation and performance, technology, digitalization, global trade and ESG.
Other areas of responsibilities:
- In close collaboration with the Corporate Communication team, drive communication of business achievements and continuously support an external understanding of the strategy and transformation of Maersk
- Provide advice and support to executives on external communication, media engagements and other reputation affecting activities
- Prepare and train spokespeople
- Develop key messages, press releases, press briefings etc.
- Mitigate and handle corporate issues to protect the company’s reputation and image
Who we are looking for
You are creative and deeply passionate about media relations and communication. You can turn sometimes complex topics into appealing messages, and you know what it takes to capture the interest of an audience. You are persistent in your effort to identify and develop messaging and stories about our strategic transformation.
You:
- Like working with and building trusted relationships with a broad range of stakeholders; external as well as internal
- Have a broad network across Danish media and enjoy pitching stories
- Are experienced in producing content in multiple formats, including written content, video etc. and execute tasks at a consistently high level
- Have a journalistic flair for storytelling and excellent writing and editing skills in Danish and English
- Are a fast study able to work with new, diverse topics, and have solid experience with issues management
- Have at least a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or other related discipline combined with a minimum of 6-8 years of experience from working with journalism or corporate communications

Reporting to our Head of Media Relations & Leadership Communication, you will be working out of Copenhagen – but your workplace will be the world as you will have daily and close interaction with colleagues everywhere.
