We are offering a PhD fellowship in functional cardiac genomics commencing on the 1 December 2024 or as soon as possible hereafter.
Our group and research
The newly started group of Functional Genomics is headed by assistant professor Pia Rengtved Lundegaard. We have a keen interest in the structure and function of the atrium, and to study this we use the zebrafish as a model organism. We study all aspects of the development, morphogenesis and function of the heart, with a particular interest in the atrium, and how mutations in genes associated with human cardiac disorders lead to cardiac dysfunction (Ahlberg et al. Nature Comms. 2018, Collins et al, PNAS 2019, Vad et al, JACC: Basic to Transnational Science, 2023).
