Do you thrive in a coordinating role and is it a highly motivational factor for you to use your technical skills supporting business needs? Then this is for you!

In the position as Sertica specialist your success will depend on your ability to handle support logs, review process flows and effective and smooth troubleshooting.

You will be the bridge between our stakeholders and our software vendor. You will be focusing on the end user’s needs, analysing process flows trying to find the most optimal solutions for our internal users in DFDS.

Reporting to the Team Lead for Digital Back Office you will be part of a great team working with colleagues in the application management department, part of our Technology & Innovation Division.

Main responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Implementations
  • Participating in DFDS system program management
  • Translating user stories into value adding IT solutions
  • Participation in release management, including testing of developed solutions
  • Working with teams of business representatives to assist in developing solutions
  • Providing an excellent level of support to users
  • Documenting newly integrated solutions and/or new process flows

You will have wide range of touchpoints throughout the organisation including internal system users, integration developers and external customer contact.

It is possible to develop the position over time to a role that also entails the responsibility for requirement specification and design of solution if this lies within your ambitions for the future.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a structured and process-oriented person with a technical mindset. You should be service minded and determined to track down issues and find solutions. You take pride in supporting our end users and at the same time being a good sparring partner for our stakeholders. Documentation and coordination are some of your core competencies.

Further, we imagine you:

  • Have experience in a support environment, handling customer requests relating to process flows and operational functions
  • Have an analyst’s skillset – detail-oriented and with the ability to think critically and identify process gaps
  • Have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to be flexible, adaptive and lead through influence in a cross-functional and fast-changing work environment
  • Have solid analytical and documentation skills
  • You are fluent in English as DFDS is an international company
  • Having knowledge of Sertica is a bonus but not a necessity

Through your structured and process-oriented personality and technical mindset, you can navigate complex discussions. This combined with your analytical approach and good communication skills ensure high-quality solutions.
