This role will focus on the creation and development of the DFDS Event concepts ensuring that we use data driven insights to develop a range of propositions. These propositions will be brought to market working across the wider commercial and operational passenger business.
Join DFDS at this exciting time, when we will be re-igniting our Themes & Events proposition on board our ships. You will be based in either Copenhagen og Oslo right next to our vessels and will work in an international diverse team with colleagues all over Europe.
Main responsibilities
You will be responsible for developing, contracting, building, and executing an attractive and diverse events range supporting all passenger routes, working alongside a dedicated team of colleagues, whilst managing stakeholders’ expectations and ideas. All with the goal to ensure we develop the right experiences, based around desired growth personas and commercial opportunities.

Your profile
You are a skilled event marketing professional – maybe with 5 years of experience across the marketing mix, with well-developed project management and communication skills. If you have knowledge of the travel and/or ferry/cruise/hotel industry it will be appreciated.
You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced industry where all days are different. You will be working with dedicated colleagues in an open and agile fashion, and it is critical that you are a good team player as well as a strong self-starter and -motivator. Furthermore, you are:

Additional tasks
- Confidently launch and kick off events to ensure all stakeholders are captivated and excited to deliver our amazing range of unique experiences for our customers.
- Work closely with marketing and sales teams to define multi-channel strategy and ensure always on and burst activities effectively promote the event range.
- Work closely with the Events Operations Manager to allow a flawless delivery of the final event product which guarantees all stakeholder and customer expectations are consistently met. Create a robust standardized approach.
- Develop a loyalty loop process to ensure these amazing customer experiences result in more regular and loyal, higher yielding customers that become socially active DFDS advocates.
- Monitor and interpret event marketing sales channel performance to hit volume and revenue targets. Ensure profitability.
Your profile

- Knowledge and deep understanding of events industry.
- Strong leadership, people management and excellent communications skills.
- Deep knowledge of event and project management across channels.
