DFDS is recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to be part of the Business Development & Strategy team working on Passenger & Ferry projects.



Together with their peers and stakeholders they will put milestone planning in place for all major passenger initiatives, ensuring clarity about what will happen when, what business process change is required, and what actions need to be taken to ensure value creation.

A key component of the role will be to drive collaboration across the various functional & route teams that make up Passenger & Ferry at DFDS, using Agile techniques and data driven decision making to deliver positive outcomes for our customers, our teams, and DFDS.

For Projects that they Manage they will be responsible for:

  • Planning and Defining Scope
  • Activity Planning and Sequencing
  • Resource Planning
  • Developing Schedules
  • Time Estimating
  • Cost Estimating
  • Developing a Budget
  • Documentation
  • Stakeholder engagement and management

They will manage their Projects using an Agile methodology employed by the Business Development & Strategy team that has proven successful at delivering positive outcomes at DFDS, coordinating internal resources (and potentially vendors) in the execution of projects.

In addition, their scope will include identifying Change Management needs in their Projects and applying supporting methodologies to ensure positive adoption of their Project outcomes.

Professional Experience:

  • You probably have a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant previous experience (Travel or Transport industry, eCommerce or Software Development)
  • You are comfortable working in English with knowledge of one or more of the operational languages used at DFDS (Danish, Norwegian, Lithuanian, German, or Dutch) being a bonus.
  • You probably have at least 5 years professional experience driving change or executing projects
  • You have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing

  • You are a confident self-starter with the ability to take initiative, think on your feet, and make decisions when they need to be made
  • You are a planner and have an innate ability to understand what needs to be done by whom to get things done
  • You are curious, and through asking the right questions help others align as to what needs to happen for a given business objective to be achieved
  • You understand the value of others and can work in multiple teams across an organization and adapt your behaviors so as to best contribute to their success
