Commercial Manager, Neurology
Prepare launch readiness within neuro-immunological rare diseases to ensure value creation for patients.

UCB is entering into an exciting era moving from working primarily within the common diseases space to additionally embarking onto neuro-immunological rare diseases. In this connection, UCB is looking for a Commercial Manager within neurology, who will collaborate with the cross-functional ecosystem teams as well as Launch teams at a Northern European (NE) level to support towards commercial pre-launch readiness.
In this role, you will provide integral support to cross-functional ecosystem leads (ESL) and the area’s 4 Local Patient Value Units (LPVU) (Netherlands, Belgium/Luxemburg, Scandinavia, and Finland) by co-orchestrating the commercial assessment of the neuro-immunology rare diseases markets based on a prioritised launch sequence, starting with Myasthenia Gravis (MG).
With direct report to Launch Lead Northern Europe – Neurology.
Your main tasks are:
Insights gathering/generation towards ecosystem specific commercial analysis:
Commercial assessment across NE for prioritised neurology pipeline products:
Support commercial readiness towards tailored launch in MG followed by pipeline launch indications per country:
Your qualifications are 3-5 years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry within business analytics. You have experience in commercial assessment – rare disease experience is an advantage. You have a holistic perspective and can capitalise on insights. Moreover, you have business acumen together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are a team player, who can deliver in collaboration with local cross-functional teams as well as within a matrix organisation.
You are an authentic communicator driven by value creation for patients. Furthermore, you are curious and perceive data assessment as a tool towards creating value. Finally, you must be comfortable with ambiguity in an ever-changing healthcare environment.
You have excellent English skills, both oral and written. Fluency in one of the Northern European languages in an advantage.
You have a Master’s Degree within a commercial/business related field.
You are a person who takes initiative, works independently and can collaborate with different teams and external partners. You are self-driven and you have a positive outlook together with a humble approach. You are open-minded, flexible and you are a quick learner from own mistakes.

Insights gathering/generation towards ecosystem specific commercial analysis:
- Develop a deep commercial understanding of the NE ecosystems in neuro-immunological rare diseases starting with MG and continuing based on pipeline launch sequence indications
- Support ESLs by design of data analytics initiatives per LPVU allowing for actionable insight generation. Collaborate with country teams in the NE LPVUs towards insights gathering and insights generation
- Analysis of key drivers in line with characteristics of each specific patient ecosystem
Commercial assessment across NE for prioritised neurology pipeline products:
- Deep dive into each ecosystem assumptions based on data analytics, UCB and external sales, market research, etc.
- Provide tailored commercial assessment in alignment with ESLs per ecosystem based on key insights and unique characteristics/needs towards maximizing patient value creation
- Support LPVUs by development of local forecasting model and targeting
Support commercial readiness towards tailored launch in MG followed by pipeline launch indications per country:
- Support of ESLs in ensuring local commercial organisational readiness per country via providing commercial input to LPVU cross-functional teams
- Partnership with LPVU and launch team towards pre-launch commercial excellence
