We are looking for a senior IMT engineer for our tunnel department in Copenhagen, to support our continued growth, development and ambitions within innovation and design of immersed tube tunnels.
As a key team member with a strong technical background, we offer a position where you will be able to lead projects and apply your technical and personal strengths to develop the right solutions, while focused on effective and reliable delivery.
You will provide discipline leadership and project management, and take a leading role in engineering design, including analysis and technical assessment, technical coordination and integration with other engineering disciplines and aspects relevant to immersed tube tunnels.
Your responsibilities as Senior Immersed Tube Tunnel (IMT) Engineer

The position as Senior IMT Engineer will require networking across the Ramboll organization and our clients. Good abilities for cooperation and communication is thus a prerequisite, as is willingness to travel abroad for shorter or longer periods as required.
Join the Tunnel Department
Based in our tunnel department in the Copenhagen office, You will be a part of Ramboll’s wider tunnel engineering organization. We work worldwide and our expertise encompasses all types of tunnels in all manner of ground conditions, ranging from IMT tunnel projects worldwide, road and rail tunnels in the hard rocks of Scandinavia and elsewhere, bored segmental tunnels for e.g metro systems in Copenhagen and pipejacked utility tunnels.
We will offer you tasks that interest you and develop you, and make sure your tasks vary allowing for greater independence and higher technical knowledge and competences. You will be a part of an international work environment with expert knowledge, sharing a passion for tunnels in all shapes and sizes.

As Senior IMT Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:
- Geotechnical and structural engineering analysis, evaluation and design
- Leading development and innovation within the IMT group
- Engineering management and discipline leadership
- Project management
- Guidance, supervision and inspiration of our less experienced engineers
- Client liaison and participation in Ramboll's business development initiatives within the tunnels group

You and your competencies
We expect you to have a strong technical background within geotechnical or structural engineering. You should have a creative personality and possess excellent communication skills in english, both written and verbal.
As our ideal candidate you are a team player and have:
- 15 years experience with design of Immersed Tube tunnels
- Proven engineering- and project management skills on major, multi-disciplinary projects
- Proven commercial skills, ability to establish and retain long term client relations
- A pro-active and energetic approach
