The Department of Computer Science (DIKU), Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is looking for four to five motivated students to become student ambassadors for the new MSc students of 2021. The position is available from late summer 2021 until the end of block 4, 2022. You would have to start the position 15 August 2021.

Salary and conditions of employment as a student ambassador
The employment is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the National Union for Student Teachers (SUL)/the Union of Danish Medical Students (FADL) for Student Teachers at the Danish universities and the annexed protocol on Student Teachers. As student ambassador, you will be paid for minimum 45 hours per academic year. The salary is 195,75. DKR (October 2019-level). Applicants should be MSc students. If there are not enough qualified applicants, we might choose to allocate more hours to the position – in agreement with the student ambassadors. Most of the tasks as a student ambassador will be in August and September and the position is limited to end of block 4 2022.

We are looking for:
- Preferably 2nd year MSc students enrolled at DIKU
As a student ambassador, you will:
- Have a peer-to-peer role in relation to the new MSc students at DIKU
- Participate in meetings with the head of studies and the study introduction coordinator for the MSc programme in Computer Science
- Participate in the Kick-off meeting where all involved parties in the first academic year of the MSc programme meet (in week 34 or 35)
- Co-host the Welcome Day for the new MSc students with the head of studies on Friday 3 September 2021
- Co-organise and host the study group event in the beginning of block 1
- Be a host and co-organiser at academic and social events for the first year MSc students
- Help with questions regarding social, academic and practical issues.
- Share relevant information on the MSc Facebook group.
Our expectations for you:
- You are empathic and want to help and get to know the new MSc students.
- You are able to work on your own but also in collaborating with others – both students, administrative and academic employees.
- You already know or want to learn how the first year of the MSc programme is structured
