Scandinavia’s favourite magazine publisher is transforming into a thoroughly modern Media House, combining print publications with exciting digital directions and it all depends on subscription.
As Application Specialist for Subscriptions you will become an expert in the software, user functionality, data and context of a global business trend.
About Your New Role
Aller Media manages subscriptions, distribution and customer data with a suite of software packages. They include Advantage, Microsoft Dynamics and more, all bound together by Azure Integration Services
Our team of Application Specialists keep the business running by managing, monitoring, fixing, updating and extending these apps, with particular focus on Advantage. They work with our business users to understand and specify needs. They work with developers, operations staff, software architects and external providers to deliver the most accurate data and best possible performance.
You don’t need to know Advantage yet. We will teach you. But you need to bring a few things.
You’re great with people. You can build relationships with users, gather requirements, and work as a team with colleagues.
You have the ability and passion to learn the technical and functional side of business apps. You may have knowledge of SQL or .NET. Perhaps some experience with CRM, ERP or other core business applications.
You’re organised enough to manage your own workload, prioritising change requests, production issues and backlogs, and ensuring the application stays always efficient, accurate and valued.
You will be hands-on, every day. You’ll be surrounded by experienced IT specialists and the buzz of a media business. You will create and drive customer-centric solutions that shape the path for publishing. Are you the one Aller Media is looking for?

About You
We expect that you bring functional and technical experience with business applications, and great interpersonal skills. It’s great if you know SQL, .NET or other computing technologies.
You are fluent in English or Danish, and able to work in the other.
Most of all, we are looking for a great colleague. So don’t worry if you don’t have everything we ask. For the right person, there is training and all the support you need to grow into the role.

- Help and support business users with operational application issues.
- Timely and proactive incident fixing and testing.
- Define and deliver change requests.
- Proactively maintain and optimize Aller’s applications.
- Work with IT colleagues to make sure business processes work across applications and data is shared correctly.
- Become expert in the applications, software, data and business context.
