We are looking for an Engineering Manager who has extensive experience with developing large scale SaaS solutions using the right technologies while focusing on delivering value for our users. You have at least 2 years of experience managing at least 3 software engineers and knows how to grow them and make teams successful.

The role
- You will be developing and supporting a great team of talented and motivated engineers, giving them continuous feedback in order to set up team members for success via creating growth opportunities and addressing gaps in skills by mentoring and professional development.
- The role is a working manager role, which means you’ll be part of a development squad and will be doing actual development in addition to your managerial tasks.
- Your day to day development tasks depends on the specific squad you’ll be part of but can include anything from the development of our WebApp, integration to external systems, development of our API, integration to Office and Office 365, as well as deployment and DevOps tasks.
- Collaborating with engineering leadership to engage, manage and retain top talent.
- Building a positive and high performing work environment based on transparency, accountability, and trust.
Your profile
- Experience coaching, mentoring and growing individuals and teams.
- Broad experience with .NET, C# and Web Development.
- Experience with scalable systems.
- You are a structured, responsible, open-minded team player who takes initiative and can create alignment across teams and get stuff done.
- You have strong opinions but hold them loosely.
- You love cloud technologies and enjoy leveraging the services it provides.
- Passionate about empowering people on your teams to be at their best.

How we work
We are heavily inspired by the Spotify Engineering culture, and work in squads and guilds.
- Squads: Each squad consists of 4-6 developers. Squads are self-organised and free to choose their own process, but most use a flavour of Scrum with a 2 weeks sprint. Squads has short feedback cycles and do multiple daily releases in a fully automated manner. We believe in the lean principles of e.g. minimising handovers, and therefore each squad has full responsibility of the features they own from development to deployment.
- Guilds: All developers are part of a couple of guilds. We currently have guilds like DevOps, Cloud, Architecture, Front-end, Security, QA and Analytics. In guild we discuss relevant topics and do proof of concepts. All architectural significant decisions are decided in guilds and applied across squads.
- DevOps mindset: We are cloud first, and everything is hosted in Microsoft Azure. Each squad is responsible for deployment and monitoring of their own services. All work is managed through Azure DevOps including backlog management, source control, pull-requests, releases, and testing.
- Architecture: We build software using the flavour of microservices called self-contained Systems and we practice the principles of Domain Driven Design with Event Driven Architecture. Yet we still have strong opinions that software should not be over-engineered and always strive for the simplest solution possible.

- Backend: .NET Core, .NET Framework, C#, Web API, Entity Framework, VSTO.
- Frontend: React, Redux, TypeScript, CRA, Sass, yarn
- Cloud: 100% hosted on Azure, using Web Apps, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Application Insights, Azure Data Lake, Azure Cognitive Services and more.
